Do you take insurance?
I recently made the difficult decision to no longer panel with insurance companies. There are many reasons for this, but most importantly this allows me to provide you with quality therapy. Not taking insurance allows me to carry a smaller caseload and still keep the lights on. This helps me to avoid burnout, by having enough time to care for myself, my family, and my own self care. It also allows me time to pursue continuing education and specialized training to provide you with the best possible treatment. What this means for you is that my fee is due at the time of service. If you have out-of-network benefits I am able to submit claims at no extra charge on your behalf to your insurance company. Some insurance companies reimburse 100%. If you have out-of-network benefits reimbursement would come directly to you.
Do you offer sliding scale rates?
I am committed to making treatment as affordable as possible and understand completely the financial factors that go into the decision of going to therapy. If would like to discuss a sliding scale, reach out to me and inquire about a reduced fee.
How long is each session?
Each session is about an hour long. I try to aim at wrapping things up 5 minutes before the hour to allow for scheduling, any other housekeeping, or a bathroom break for me! This being said, there are times when some things are not as easily wrapped up right on the hour. I ask for your patience if you are waiting for your session and I am running over- you will still get your full time.
How many sessions will I need to attend?
How many sessions it takes to feel that therapy has come to completion is individualized to each person. Some people need as little as one session, and others are in therapy for a year or more. My average client is seen for about 3-6 months. This is an on going conversation that we will have about the fluidity of frequency and duration of sessions.
